Guidelines for Study

Each student agrees to abide by the Code of Conduct for Mercy Learning Online.

Time Commitment - Students participating in credit courses and credit recovery courses should expect to study approximately 16 hours per week in order to complete lessons and assignments.

Access to courses - 24/7- Courses open on June 24 at 10:00 a.m. CST and close on their last scheduled day at 10:00 p.m. CST.

Some students enrolled in Mercy Learning Online also have summer obligations, camps, programs, family commitments, etc. Students must complete all course work according to the posted calendar and need to plan for internet access to the course in order to balance study with other obligations. Vacations: it is the responsibility of the student to keep pace with assignments and meet deadlines either by working ahead or by having access to a computer and the internet while on vacation.

There is an icon in the program used to access assignments. All assignments for the course can be seen at any time. This allows for student short term and long term planning.

Written assignments are submitted via e-mail. To avoid loss of work, students are asked to print out and save a copy of all assignments submitted. This work should be saved until final grades are received. Students should also print out and save e-mails received from their teachers.

Within the course there is a calendar with assignment due dates and important notices. Students should check the calendar regularly. Late work—Students may be denied credit for late assignments.
