If a student needs help with a particular skill, the student is asked to share that need immediately with the teacher so help may be provided.  

Note: Students using Microsoft Office 2007 are asked to save files and submit assignments in the 97-2003 format to allow for successful opening by teachers.

In order to progress successfully in an online course, students must have or develop these skills:

• Sending and receiving messages by e-mail, including attachments

• Bookmarking websites on the Internet

• Participating in Chat and/or discussions on the platform discussion board

• Saving attachments to one’s computer

Software—students are asked to use Microsoft Word for documents and have access to PowerPoint. If a student does not personally have PowerPoint, please arrange with a friend, library, etc. to gain access for viewing material and completing various assignments.
